Dr. G. Balamurali is a Senior Consultant Spine and Neurosurgeon. He is an internationally trained Spine and Neurosurgeon with 15 years of Surgical Experience in the United Kingdom. Extensively trained in all niche aspects of Spinal Surgery from UK, USA (San Francisco & Chicago) and Switzerland (Zurich). He was formerly a Consultant Spinal Surgeon at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham, UK and Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, India. He specializes in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery for a variety of conditions, including degenerative spinal disease, Spinal Fusion and Spinal Cord Tumours. He performs most Complex Spine Surgeries involving the Spine and Spinal Cord. He is among the very few Spine Surgeons in the country who performs Functional Spine surgery for Pain and Spasticity. Dr Balamurali has been a guest lecturer at several national and international meetings and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. He is the co-author of several chapters in textbooks. He is an Academic Spine and Neurosurgeon with a Research Doctorate in Medicine (MD) from the UK. Outside work he is an active person doing social projects for the under privileged, artist and keen fitness enthusiast in sports and outdoor activity.
